Snake Farm

The Red Cross Snake Farm in Bangkok keeps snakes for research and production of antivenin. The latter is produced by milking the snake venom and subsequently injecting small amounts into horses for production of antivenin.

Founded in 1923, the snake farm was only the second of its kind in the world (the first was in Brazil).
